Homeopathy for chidren

Image of childrenChildren can be helped with common recurring ailments such as runny nose, cough, cold, sore throat, earache, stomachache, fever, eczema and asthma as well as diseases such as measles and chicken pox.

Image of a familyHomeopathy works very well for behavioural problems or anxiety states such as readjustment to the arrival of a new baby in the family, starting school or other transition periods.

In selecting a remedy, individual characteristics are taken into consideration.

Argentum–nitricum could help children with overactive imaginations or who panic about the future. Diarrhoea after eating and from apprehension.

Chamomilla is the most common teething remedy. An indication could be that one cheek is red and hot and the other cheek pale and cold. Children scream constantly and want to be carried. They find the pain unbearable.

Gelsemium is the number one flu remedy, with symptoms slow to come on. There is much heaviness and fatigue, hot and cold feelings, dizziness and congestion.

Pulsatilla is good for recurrent colds and ear infections with thick yellow or green catarrh or blocked painful sinuses. The child feels better in the fresh air and is changeable, clingy and tearful with a desire to be carried.

Rhus–tox is a very common chicken pox remedy when the blisters look like small jellies on red plates and are very itchy. The child feels better for heat.
